Let's talk about one of the most favored subjects in a house full of boys. You guessed it...
I started to wonder how many diapers I have changed since the onslaught of motherhood.
Roughly 6 diapers/ day x 365 days x 3 years (roughly when the boys were potty trained) x 2 (boys) + 6 diapers/ day x 365 days x 1.5 years (when Amelia was potty trained) + 6 diapers/ day x 261 days (how old Tucker is now) = 17,991 diapers and counting. (Don't check my math, it's probably wrong...but impressive anyway)
I can change a diaper in under 30 seconds flat and that includes the removal, reclothing and disposal. I imagine that a few of those diapers might have been changed my Archie, but for average's sake...I'll claim the 17,991.
When you become a mother, not only do you become an expert diaper changer, you also acquire a nose for your own baby's bodily functions and unfortunately others' as well. I can smell a poop from across the room and usually, with pin point accuracy determine if mine is the offending child. Perhaps not a skill that I can include on my resume, but a skill nontheless.
So, I hereby crown myself the Queen of Poop and all things poopy and shall celebrate this great accomplishment in my life with an afternoon coffee and snuggle with an unpoopy baby!
Thank you and good day!
