9 Long Years Ago
Today was the day that our first baby boy was due to arrive. As brand new parents, we expected that our son would abide by this time table and arrive accordingly. Little did we know that the kid would be forced to evacuate nearly 2 weeks AFTER his estimated arrival time. Always has been a stubborn kid. I like to say that he'd probably still be in there if we hadn't pried him out. Of course, I probably should have known that his entrance into the world would be a bit tardy. There was a wise-old OB at my Dr's office who placed his hands on my swollen, 16 week gestated belly and proclaimed that this baby would be a boy, born 2 weeks late, around 9 lbs. How right would he be?

heh, I remember that grizzled old buzzard! how correct he was.
Wow! I wonder if he told all the expectant mamas that :)
Very cool about the OB!
What a neat memory! Totally off topic but is there snow drifting down your blog? I take it you haven't gotten your "real" snow there yet? =)
LOL! Yep...there's snow drifting on the BLOG.
Hopefully we'll get some real stuff tonight!!
what a funny memory! I too was well overdue with my first- funny how you just don't expect that with your first. You expect that either on or before your due date that you will have that baby and it rarely happens!
I have the same memory of Noah's arrival! Oh, how niave we are that first time around!
*snicker*
I've only ever been 2 days over. I can't imagine 2 weeks! YIKES!
So he was due on MY BDAY??? lol
such a sweet story :)

How funny! I was sitting beside a Chinese woman in church one day when I was pregnant with Dane and she said, "You're pregnant with a boy."
And she was right. I have no idea how she knew that.
Awww... that's a sweet story!
