Let's Talk About
Facebook.
I adamantly refused to partake in this evil exploit ... I will not succumb to all that is trendy. And then I did it; I caved. But I wasn't going down alone. I signed up myself and then I signed up Archie too. It doesn't take long to make friends there. It's fun to reconnect with friends from the past; what is not fun is the home-wrecking women that try to "friend" my husband. What do they do; prowl FB looking for all the handsome married men? Almost every day, he gets a new request from a young, pretty girl that neither he nor I know, to be his friend. Umm, yeah ... I don't think so! I don't get requests from random guys. I'm not afraid to break it down to ya. We can and will scrap. I'm from the south, so I must insert ... I'll open up a can of whoop arse! So there, home-wrecking FB hos ... back off! I'm a lover not a fighter, but I can channel my inner ninja if necessary.
yeah....dammit!!
ReplyDeleteI hate facebook anyway. I am close to closing my account. I really don't give a damn that some frog I knew in HS is getting ready for supper..ya know??
LOL! I strongly dislike FB too!
ReplyDeleteI refused to get FB forever too...but then I caved! I'm actually not all that impressed with it's social networking wonders...but it does give me something to do while the kids are napping and I'm bored!
ReplyDeleteAaron and I both pulled off. We reconnected with some people that we'd been missing for years, but the rest of it became a big waste of time. I already spend too much time online anyway! lol
ReplyDeleteAnd sadly, we know someone who did let it get out of hand and it has caused some serious problems for his marriage and family....so sad.
I'm in the minority. Ray lets me have access to his account, so no worries there. We did alot of catching up for his HS reunion and mine is coming up, so I'll hang in there. I promise not to tell you what I'm making for dinner though.
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!!!!
ReplyDeleteI set my facebook preferences so that only friends of friends can find me. Worked pretty good so far! :)
Way to go girl....."that's MY man!"
ReplyDeleteIs that seriously a screenshot of Archie's page? That's insane!
Don't tell my husband. He refuses to get a page and if I told him this he'd be even more irritated with it.
ReplyDeleteI was a Facebook holdout, too. I, too, caved. I can't get my husband to join, but perhaps that's not such a bad thing?
ReplyDeleteI have done the same as Sneaky Momma. Maybe your hubby can do that, too!
well! I had never thought about something like this.....I might just have to go and check on Ken's fb page!!!!
ReplyDeletelol - I love FB! However, I'd be doing the same things about those friend requests. I decline people for me and my dh all the time. hehe
ReplyDeleteWow, that totally doesn't happen to Mark and he has a really hot pic of himself playing guitar. Maybe it's something with the settings... I've gotten a few request lately from strangers that I haven't been sure of and still left hanging.
ReplyDeleteHhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-yyyyyaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!
ReplyDeleteMad ninja skills, yo.
Ha! Great post!
ReplyDeleteYa, we went through that but then we set our settings to super private and it doesn't happen anymore. But I can't remember how I set it. But when I do, I'll tell ya.
