Last Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), Gavin was helping me with the laundry. He loves to measure out the washing soap and the softener. I was in a bit of a hurry and did that part for him while he gathered up the laundry from his room. He got right huffy with me.
"MOM! Why didn't you wait for me? Why do you even want me to help?"
Oh honey, I am so thankful to have you as a helper when we do laundry, I was just in a hurry.
"Too bad ... yesterday was the day for thanks ... not today. Hmmmmph!"
