Excitement and a Promise

I really want to be a better blogger.  You always think that when your kids are small that when they are older, you'll have more time to devote to the "extra" things in life.  Cooking homemade meals, sewing for fun, reading, blogging, bathing.  You know, the fun stuff.  They never tell you in the big thick Parenting 101 Manual that these are just elusive pipe dreams.  As the kids get older, they get busier.  And by busier I mean that there is more to do, more to go, more to clean, more to care for, more, more, more.  Which in turn equals less time for those "fun" things that I mentioned.  And even as I shake my head at all the business and all the hustle bustle, I know that we are truly blessed to have our hands so full.

But, my friend Heidi did a post about the importance of keeping track of life and using a BLOG as a tool.  I want to be on board with that.  I want to do better.

I've mentioned before about our teeny, tiny house and how 1680 square feet divided by 6 people is about as paltry as one can get.  Archie and I have lived in this home for almost 14 years.  Heck, I've lived on the same street for 36 years! Well, we decided to bite the bullet and build a home.  This home will allow everyone their own room and space for us to grow.

We hope to move in by August.  2012 is shaping up to be an exciting and blessed year!

How exciting for you all!! And you know, time for "extras" isn't necessarily as important as how you are already spending your time;)

Very nice, how much fun it is to move into a new home, and I am sure the kiddos will LOVE having their own space. Congrats!

So happy for you all on the new house. And I too have been pondering coming back to my blog. Let's work that one out in tandem.
