The setting: 2 babies snuggled up sleeping soundly in their cribs. Silas catching the last 2 minutes of a television program. Gavin in my lap, reading our last book of the night. Archie on Silas' bed listening.
We finish up the last line of Yummy, Yummy in My Tummy and I ask Gavin to go tell Silas that it's bedtime. The house is quiet so we can hear him going through the kitchen to the living room and then we hear, clear as a bell...
"BEDTIME DUMB ASS!"
We were rolling in the floor laughing. Such a proud parent moment when you hear your 5 year-old cussing like a sailor.
